Election Fever Hits King’s Park

P7a’s Pupil Council Captain candidates performed amazingly during our election assembly.  Their speeches were incredibly impressive.  They contained a variety of persuasive techniques and were delivered in a confident manner.  It was clear that the candidates had put in a lot of hard work in order to ensure they had the 5 Ps of public speaking included in their speeches.  The candidate’s brilliant speeches showed why they should get the audience’s vote by explaining their skills, qualities and how they would like to make King’s Park an even better school.  The audience also enjoyed watching the entertaining party political broadcasts that the candidates and their campaign teams had worked hard to produce.

The Primary 7s did an excellent job of setting up and running a polling station, as can been seen in our photos.

Congratulations to our new Pupil Council Captains and Vice Captains and a huge well done to all the candidates and campaign team members.

An Egg-cellent Fry-day for Primary 7!

Today, Primary 7 were challenged to create a ‘travel system’ that would keep an egg safe when it is dropped from a high height.  Miss McKay and Mr Dougal were very impressed with our designs and the egg-ceptional collaboration skills we displayed during the task!
