The Children’s University (CU) Trust offers 7 to 14 year olds (and 5 to 6 year olds with their families) exciting and innovative learning activities and experiences outside normal school hours.

Saughside Farm Stable Management and Riding Centre

Saughside Farm Stable Management and Riding Centre teaches children from grass root level literally.

The Children are taught how to muck out, clean and rebed the stables. They can measure out the correct food for the horse or pony and fill up empty hay nets. The children are shown all aspects of putting on all the tack on the horse or pony, and how to adjust. They are also shown how to mount and when to rest the horse or pony so they are ready at a given time

Just Judo

To be able to try judo to find out if your child would like to continue.

Judo will give good cardiovascular workout, which improves stamina and general health.

Lasswade Thistle Football Club

We have a squad of players who play in the ESSDA football 4s in the 2007s year. We train each Tuesday and play matches on Saturday. On match days each squad is divided into two teams of 4 players and 1 rolling substitute. Ten minute matches of football 4s are played against teams from other clubs. Typically all teams will play 5 matches each Saturday within a 1 hour period. The season lasts from March to November.

Eskvale Hockey Club

Our training and home games are all based at Dalkeith Community Campus, which has excellent indoor and outdoor facilities. Training takes place on a Tuesday evening with most games played on Saturday afternoons.

Whether you are interested in starting playing, coaching, or umpiring or, perhaps, returning to hockey or looking for more information please contact us or just turn up to training and speak to us in person. We are a friendly club and you will be made very welcome.
