“Stoats, porridge and porridge bar manufacturer has recently opened a new factory in Loanhead. In front of the factory is a very large freezer that they are looking to decorate with pictures drawn by local school children. So they have put together a competition.” This week we created our competition entries 🙂

“There will be a number of individual winners who will have their pictures printed on the freezer unit and also a prize for the top 3 winning classes– a tour of the factory and a chance to bake their own bars. The winners will be invited to see their designs at Stoats open day in Spring 2018.”

Library/ICT

We logged onto the computers for the first time in the library/research room to decorate our own McCoo. Together we created a shape McCoo – discussing what shape we thought the ears, body etc should be and why… Then we decorated our own!

Numeracy/Maths

We’ve been grouping and sharing items equally. We put 9 horses into 3 groups, 12 cubes into 4 groups etc… “How many groups are there? How many are in each group? How many horses are there altogether?”

We could practise this at home by using small toys for example.
