Dear Parents and Carers,
This week in P6A we have been learning about similes – identifying well known similes such as ‘as fresh as a daisy’ and then creating our own. Our favourite was, ‘as flat as old iron brew’.
We also looked at how a variety of inventions have transformed over time. This gave us the opportunity to think about something we could invent to fit the needs of people in 2018.
Our focus in numeracy has been decimals. Considering what the value of each digit was and then comparing and ordering them.
In P.E. we have been doing gymnastics with Mrs Campbell. This involved developing our skills of jumping, traveling and balancing.
Finally, we look forward to seeing you at Parents Evening next week. Miss McCloskey is looking forward to updating you on our progress and we cannot wait for you to have a look at our learning.
