Literacy and Languages Week in P3

It has been a busy week as always in Primary 3a. We have been taking part in Literacy and Languages week.

We’ve been dropping everything and reading everyday this week and we wrote a Scottish poem using some of the Scots words we know. It’s about a boy called Johnny who was wearing a kilt and the reader was confused by it!

Johhny, Where’s ye troosers? By P3a

Why ye wearin’ ye troosers the day?

O’ Johnny wheest yer mooth!

Ye no wanna be wearin’ that bricht skert the day?

Papa says put on yer troosers, it looks awfie nice son!

I live in a braw hoose wi’ ma wee brother,

An’ in ma bonnie hoose, there is a wee moose,

An’ even the moose is wearin’ troosers Johnny!

Sae Johhny git ye claes an,  Jonny where are ye troosers?
