King's Park Primary School

P1C

As a stimulus for writing this week we used Roald Dahl’s story cards. We worked in groups to create our own stories using the cards.

We worked with our learning partners to assess Miss Hoffman’s work on the board. We identified that she had sometimes missed finger spaces and had only included the first sound of each word in one sentence. We’re learning how to assess our own work against the same criteria (finger spaces, capital letters, full stops and listening for all the sounds).

We completed our personal talks on Friday. Everyone demonstrated great confidence when speaking to the rest of the class. We enjoyed learning more about our classmates and asked each other lots of interesting questions. Great team work was also shown when we cheered and high-fived everyone after their talk!
