King's Park Primary School

This week in Nursery

Dates for your diary

Sadly we had to cancel Forest sessions for the morning children last week.

We will continue as per weekly visits, meaning this week it will be the afternoon children’s turn to visit the woodland.

Please remember these Forest visits could be cancelled or change due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control but please be assured we will return to the Forest ASAP.

Please, ensure your child brings their wellies to nursery every day.  We do have a small stock but not enough for every child and its better for their feet to wear their own boots.

The children are very excited to perform their songs for you. They have been practicing well and we hope not singing too much at home!

We have made some delicious Christmas cake to share with the mummies and daddies who have also been practicing their songs and join in with us!

Please allow the children to dress up on the performance day, we would love to see them dressed up and having fun! Elves, Santa’s, Mary, Josephs, Rudolph’s…..the more the merrier.

There will be a Save the Children collection box in nursery that you are most welcome to make a contribution to if you would like. Please be rest assured there is no pressure to make a donation.

This is a donation and if you are able to, we ask please could you hand this in at yours earliest convenience to enable us to purchase healthy snacks for the children as well as additional resources.  Information can be found on the information board.

*Glue modeling resources-

Please note, we cannot accept food packaging that has contained nuts, e.g. fruit and nut cereal boxes due to an allergy within the nursery.

As it is getting colder and lots of runny noses, donations of boxes of tissues would be greatly appreciated.

Parent helpers

We welcome parents’ to come in and help in the nursery and to join us in the forest.  This could be on a regular basis, part of a session or a one off.  There is a calendar located on the information board, so if you would like to help please add you name to this. Thanks for your continued support, if you have any questions please let us know.

As part of the nursery day we have to offer the children a full range of experiences, inside and out, the children will therefore be able to access the garden in all weathers. Please can you ensure your child has a change of clothes with them every day, a warm waterproof jacket and wellies. We do have a stock of waterproof trousers and a couple of pairs of wellies, but if you could provide your child with their own, that would be great.
