Children’s Learning

This week the children have been super excited about Halloween! We have had lots of experimentation going on in the nursery with making magic spells with glitter, gloopy slime and the insides of pumpkins. Many of the children have been involved in carving the pumpkins, enjoying making soup from the flesh and eating this during their snack. There have been some truly amazing smells this week as we have also baked for the bake sale .

There was also some super maths going on with children using tape to measure areas and using wool to make spiders webs around the whole nursery! Quite an obstacle course for the staff!

We would like to say an absolutely huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the bake sale and who came along to buy from the haunted bakeshop! We managed to make over £200 ! We cant thank you enough for your generosity. I will add up and let you know the actual final amount as we are still being given donations today.  The children had the best day dressing up and having fun being shop keepers selling their wares to you.Thank you so much.

The full time children have been enjoying some yoga sessions after lunch and we will now be extending this to include all the children as part of their day as they really have enjoyed this experience .

The children have free flow everyday to the outdoors and today has been no exception. Wet suits and wellies on they have enjoyed wet play in the garden, digging up worms and splashing in puddles.

Consultations have been going well but we are aware some of you may have missed due to staff illnesses. If you have missed your slot please see your key worker and they will be very happy to arrange another time for you.
