Children’s learning

This week we have continued with our community learning and have developed our work around Emotion Works further. The children are really responding to this and have begun to use word in their play. Children are working hard to remember the well beings rules in nursery and during carpet time each day we are reinforcing the well being rules and values . Using our words to talk with each other and being kind and thoughtful.

The children have been learning a new song about Feelings this week and have loved this.

The feelings Song

Sometimes you feel happy.

Sometimes you feel Sad.

Sometimes you feel Excited.

Sometimes you feel Mad.

You might laugh today, you might cry today.

You might feel many different feelings, but there all ok.

You might feel worried about your first day at school.

You might feel nervous to jump in the pool.

You might feel excited for you party this afternoon.

You might feel surprised when they jump out on you.

Sometimes you feel happy.

Sometimes you feel Sad.

Sometimes you feel Excited.

Sometimes you feel Mad.

You might laugh today, you might cry today.

You might feel many different feelings, but there all ok.

You might feel angry when he takes your bear.

You might feel thankful when he shares.

You might feel embarrassed when you trip and fall down.

You might feel happy with your fiends all around.

Sometimes you feel happy.

Sometimes you feel Sad.

Sometimes you feel Excited.

Sometimes you feel Mad.

You might laugh today, you might cry today.

You might feel many different feelings, but there all ok.

You might feel lonely if there’s no one to share.

You might feel hopeful your wish will come true.

You might feel silly when you play outside.

You might feel proud when you win a prize.

Sometimes you feel happy.

Sometimes you feel Sad.

Sometimes you feel Excited.

Sometimes you feel Mad.

You might laugh today, you might cry today.

You might feel many different feelings, but there all ok.

Please come and view our display, chat with the children and listen to a song about Feelings and Emotions

Our first PEEP session was on Wednesday and went really well.the aims this week were to understand and support children’s early learning using “ORIM” Opportunities,Recognition,Interaction and Modelling. The parents and children had the opportunity to make musical shakers and interact and model the actions from the song . We had a short discussion about different scenarios of how parents can use ORIM at home with their children.
