Over the last few weeks, we have been welcoming the children and helping them to settle into the new routine of the day spent at King’s Park early years setting. Now we have welcomed back returning children and most of our new children have visited or started with us we would like to invite parents to help us to look at some learning targets for individual children. In order for us to work in partnership with you, we are inviting parents to have three wishes of what they would like to see their child achieve over the coming months.
We would like you to think about their learning and specifically focus on Health and Wellbeing, literacy, and numeracy. We are aware some parents have already discussed this with key workers on initial phone calls so if you have not yet been asked about your three wishes, over the coming days your child’s keyworker will contact you to have a chat about this.
Health and wellbeing can be many things, think about things that make your child happy. How can we work with them to make their days happy and filled with fun learning? Children who are happy are ready to learn and will want to experience many things in the environment. What can we do for your little one as an individual to make learning exciting and fun?
Literacy and numeracy again come in many forms and we will focus on many learning activities to develop their early understanding and skills in this. Is there something specific you would like us to focus on for your child?
We look forward to chatting with you working together and learning a little more about you and your child.
