Distance Learning Update

As we move into the last two weeks of term we wanted to give you an update about Distance Learning.   Whilst we will continue to use Seesaw, learning will will look a little bit different from the last few months.  This is due to staff being allowed back into school to prepare for key groups of pupils including our new P1s and current P7s,  who will be invited into school to support Transition in the last week of term, as well as preparing for our other learners coming back in August.  As you can imagine, we have a lot of planning and preparation to do, and many of our staff will continue to support children in the Hubs as well.  During these two weeks staff will be meeting to pass on pupil information.

To allow for this, we will be moving to a weekly grid system on Seesaw (similar to Homework Grids) for the final two weeks of term.  Work for the week will be posted on Seesaw on Monday and children can access this throughout the week in a way that suits your family. We would ask that children limit the number of activities that they upload each week.  Teachers will respond and comment when they can, as they are very keen to keep in touch with their pupils before the end of term.

We are still finalising plans for August and finalising our staffing.  We will let you know as soon as we have further information about this.  We plan to have a ‘Meet the Teacher’ activity on Seesaw in the final week of term.  Look out for more information to follow.

We understand that this is a very unsettling time for our pupils and whole school community. We would like to thank you for your amazing support over the final term and the past year.  Working together as a team will help to support our children at this challenging time.

Thanks,

KPPS
