This week was Literacy and Languages week!
We read then completed activities based on the 3 Bookbug books we have taken home:
We didn’t think people would like to buy yucky or stinky ice cream so we decided to create new flavours! We then described our sundaes using words that would make them more appealing! We came up with super describing words like: tasty, scumptious and delicious!
We imagined what we would like to find inside our own egg.
We created story maps. A story map tells the sequence of a story from the beginning to the end.

Scots Focus
We watched FunBox perform “Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny Aff A Bus!” on the SMARTBoard and joined in – we thought this was very funny! We also had a live performance from Macastory with Scottish songs and stories.
We had so much fun singing “Show Us Yer Haggis” and learning the actions from the Primary 7s!

Blake and Freya’s mum, Vicky, came in to teach us about braille! Vicky read us some ORT stories and we all had a chance to feel the braille overlay. We have since put up braille letters and numbers on our ‘text’ wall.

Lastly, many thanks to the parents/carers who came to our open morning – we loved sharing our learning with you!
