KingsVille has characters!

Dear Parents and Carers.

This week we continued our village topic by creating characters for our village. Each character had to be realistic and unique. All our characters had different jobs to fit the buildings we created last week, a variety of ages so that our village had believable family groups and a mix of hobbies and interests. For example, Amelie’s character, called Zack Johnston, works at our homeless shelter as a receptionist. Zack is married to Beth’s character, called Louise Johnston, and Abbey’s character is their child called Jasmine Johnston. Zack likes to play football and perform in gymnastics.

On Wednesday we took part in a task with P5a where we went round the classroom asking each other some questions to find out some information about each other’s character. For example, we wanted to find characters of a similar age, someone who could help you if you were in trouble and someone you might invite over for dinner. Ewan and Zayaan found each other because their characters were both 28 years old, Christopher’s character could help us as he was a surgeon at the local hospital and we would invite Liam’s character over for dinner because he is a chef and could make us a nice meal!

Some children this week were lucky to be chosen to take part in a drama workshop with the Macastory team. They are going to perform a show to us in the future!

Next week we have lots to look forward to! We start skiing on Wednesday so please come to school early by 8:35am so we can get the bus. We are also very excited to go and watch Beauty and the Beast performed by our P6/7 pupils!
