Arson Attack Strikes Kingsville in P5b!

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week we returned from Daily Mile and found out to our shock that someone had set our Kingsville restaurant on fire. Our building we had made was shrivelled and burnt to a crisp! Mr Cross opened his emails to launch an investigation and found out that Police Scotland had sent us a list of witness statements about this horrible arson attack. We sorted these statements into facts (definitely true) and opinions (people’s ideas).

The police then sent us a maths mystery challenge to find out who the culprit was. It had a list of suspects and we figured out, after solving the challenge, that to our great surprise it was Miss McCloskey! Police enquiries are underway.

In happier news, on Monday the P5s-7s celebrated their sports day. Everyone worked well as a team and participated in all the events such as jumping the obstacle, passing a rugby ball and dribbling a football. We were lucky that the sun was shining and we would like to thank all the parents and carers who came to support!

We also said goodbye to Ms Limerick today as she steps down from being our headteacher. We have really enjoyed having Ms Limerick as our headteacher and wish her luck in the future. Our new headteacher Mrs Renton starts next week and we are enthusiastic to welcome her to Kings Park!

Looking forward to the summer fair tomorrow!
