Dear Parents and Carers
This week in P5b we have learned about space travel. I learned that Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space and he was from Russia. We also watched a video about the famous British astronaut Tim Peake who travelled to space very recently. Did you know that you can play ping pong on the International Space Station? Tim’s favourite button on the ISS was the grey button that opened the spacecraft up to outer space. We finished our planet factfiles and began making a leaflet.
We had to choose a planet from the solar system and advertise a holiday to that planet on our leaflets. I chose Mars and suggested my visitors make dust castles and climb Olympus Mons so bring your hiking boots!
Back through the stratosphere without burning up luckily we have been working on our spelling. On Tuesday we created spelling sentences for our words and in our morning challenges we have been working on our vocabulary and using challenging words in our writing.
We hope you have a safe but explosive bonfire night and lots of fun!
From P5b!
