King's Park Primary School

P6A at the Zoo

This week in Primary 6A we went on a trip to the Zoo! We were learning about the life cycle of different animals and got to visit loads of them. Our favourite animal was the Penguins, watching them swim and waddle around.

In writing we designed a job advertisement for our ‘Dream Head Teacher’. This meant that we had to think about the skills and qualities we would like them have as well as duties we would like them to fulfil in  King’s Park Primary.

In numeracy we began to think about how to convert fractions to decimals AND percentages. The spicy group also calculated percentages of an amount of money.

We have been thinking a lot of about friendship and identifying skills we need to manage our friendships, for example, kindness, honesty, respect and empathy. Miss McCloskey gave us different scenarios which we turned into a role play to show what we could do in those situations.

Next week we have a very busy week with orienteering and the church service!

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

From P6A
