King's Park Primary School

P1C

On Monday we entered the classroom to find our very own elf! He had left us a Christmas tree to decorate and he sets us daily kindness challenges! We’ve named him Elfie, and because he knows we like to identify rhyme in P1C, he left us a selfie on Tuesday! So far he’s asked us to make a new friend and share things with each other.

Literacy

So far we’ve focused on sequencing stories/events. However this week we tried to apply this knowledge to our writing too! This meant we had to add even more detail to our picture plans! We all tried our best with this and Miss Hoffman was very happy with our work! We’re going to continue to practise this.

Maths/Numeracy

We have been learning days of the week and months of the year songs. We’re working on answering “If today’s *Tuesday* what day came yesterday/comes tomorrow?” What month comes before/after *August*?

(We made this one faster!)

Lastly, we have been practising our nativity songs and preparing for our performances. We are so excited to perform to the school on Monday and to all our parents/carers on Tuesday!
