“We have been learning about the time in maths.” – Ava

(Focusing on reading o’clock times on an analogue clock.)

“We practised our spelling words on the computer” – Murray

 

“We were learning how to order numbers from smallest to biggest” – Findlay

(We also practised our cutting skills here to cut and stick the numbers)

 

“We’ve been learning how to be illustrators.” – Freya

Ross Collins from BBC Authors Live taught us how to draw bears! We recognised a lot of rhyming words in his book and identified that these rhymed from the ai sound (pear, bear, where, chair, rare) and the ou sound (mouse, house).

“We were learning about our eyes and our senses.” – Finn

We applied this learning to a new writing genre. This week we focused on alliteration poems.

“Alliteration is when you have words that have the same letters at the start, like I see Joshua Jumping.” – Joshua

 

“We used the magnifying glasses to read the little, tiny words.” – Howie

We were learning how to read and write Fry’s common words e.g. come, have, they, one… IMG_7604
