This week in P1A we all really enjoyed learning our new sounds.

“I like using the sounds to build words.”

“I like planning my writing and drawing with Miss Lyall.”

This week in maths we began exploring data handling and we created a pictogram. We tried to find out which spooky Halloween costume we would most like to dress up as.

“Skeletons won!”

“Warewolves almost won but Skeletons had a few more votes.”

“Witches came last.”

We also worked very hard on some spooky Halloween art this week. We created a lovely autumn sky.

“We used warm colours” to do this.

“Like red, yellow, orange and peach.”

We then each created and cut out a spooky black silhouette to stick in front of our beautiful sky.

We are looking forward to sharing some of our learning with you next week when you come to meet Miss Lyall at parents night!
