This week in P1A…
“We have enjoyed learning how to say some colours in French.”
“We have played games and sang songs to help us learn the colours.”
“We have read the story of ‘La chenille qui fait des trous’ – ‘The Hungry Caterpiller’ in French.
“We worked hard on our writing this week and wrote in our books about a time that we had to practise something.”
“We tried really hard to learn our new sounds this week and to build some words with these.”
“We enjoyed making octopuses with play dough to help us learn to make the letter ‘o’.”
“We practised making our new sounds in our books and tried really hard to form these correctly.”
“In numeracy we have been working hard to count up and down and learn the numbers that come before or after a number.”
“We really liked playing a sorting game where we sorted objects in different ways”.
“We have been practising working with our domino patterns. We can do the dots with our eyes closed now!”
In ‘Cool in School’ we were learning about the families of the children in the stories, we then got to talk about our own families and draw pictures to show who is in our families and show everyone what we like to do with our families.
We were also very lucky to have help in class this week from a very lovely student on work experience.
