We have all been working hard to learn our sounds in the classroom and at home. Now for the next challenge!
After the October holiday we are sending home some resources: an ORT book, key words and a reading record. Your child’s book for the week will be written in their reading record (every Monday). Please read the book regularly and practise the key words. Books will change weekly however key words will change as your child progresses through the stages of ORT.
In your child’s reading record we have included a list of optional, suggested activities. These activities will promote engagement with the book and support reading skills.
Please keep the book, keywords and reading record in your child’s reading pack and return to school each day. Books will be collected in on a Friday.
Thanks for your continued support,
P1 teachers
