This Week in Nursery 19th-23rd June’17
Changes within the nursery
We are delighted with the new layout in nursery and hope you enjoy the more spacious, open plan environment. The change gives the children more space to play and explore their environment freely. We are starting our ‘soft start’ time at the beginning of each session to promote nurture and transition from home to nursery. The key worker will now be in the group area for 20 minutes from the start of the session to spend time and interact with the children and parents as they arrive. Children are free to go and play at any time during this time.
Trip
We had a fantastic trip to Dalkeith Country Park, thanks to everyone who came along and joined in the fun!
Reports
Reports will be handed out by keyworkers this week, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
Sun cream
As the weather is warming up please remember to apply sun cream to your child prior to their session, we do not do this within nursery. Due to an allergy within nursery please do not apply sun cream with coconut in it.
Transition
It is week 3 of our transition program; please chat to nursery staff if you’re unsure what happens during this time or if you do not want your child to take part.
