King's Park Primary School

This week in nursery

Please can we ask parents to make sure their child has sunscreen applied before nursery each day and a sun hat as hopefully the weather is finally getting better!

Nursery funds are now due!

This is £2 per week for children who attend more than 2 days, £1 per week for children who attend 2 days or less. If you want to pay for the term it is £22 between April and the end of June’18. If you have more than 1 child in nursery please chat to us as the cost is reduced. This money doesn’t only just pay for a healthy snack each day but also additional resources to extend your child’s learning and helps pay for our trip at the end of term. Thanks you to everyone who has paid this, if you have not had a chance to, please could you pay this at you earliest convenience?  At present, the nursery is not using the pupil pay system so please continue to pay in the nursery fund box on the information board.

Our Learning wall

Next week we will begin our wall for the children showing how they achieve learning both at home and within nursery. As the children have been using the word safe recently, particularly in the forest kindergarten environment, we are keen to create a SHANARRI wall but we really need your contributions from home as well.

If you would like to contribute photos to the wall you are most welcome. Our first area we will be looking for pictures for is achieving “Safe” at home either inside or outside.  Adding pictures from home gives the children that vital link from home to nursery and vice versa.

SHANARRI stands for:

Safe                               Healthy                                    Achieving                                                   Nurtured

Active                            Respected                               Responsible                                                 Involved

Forest Kindergarten

We have a limited amount of wellingtons and water proof suits available which may limits the number of children that can go to the forest. Please make sure your child has their outdoor clothing for forest schools every day they attend nursery as there may be opportunity for additional visits to the woodland for your child, dependent on numbers.

Hopefully the weather is now going to continue to improve!

However the children still need wellington boots or walking boots for the woodland visits every day, they give their feet added protection from the environment.

(Past Friday am session will now take place on Wednesday am)

Clothing for outdoor learning:

Thicker socks

Wellington Boots

Wet suit (if they have their own) hat

Warm waterproof coat (old one if
