Newsletter- May’17

We hope you’re all enjoying the last term of the school year.

Parent Consultations

Thank you to all who attended their child’s consultation. It was really nice talking to you about your children.

P1 Information evening & transition

This evening will give you information about the transition process and other relevant information for your child starting P1. There are two separate times for you to attend, please choose which time suits you best.

Thank You

We would like to say a big thanks to all the parents/ grandparents who have come in to help in the nursery this year. It has been lovely having you all here.

Clothing

Please make sure you child has a spare set of clothes on their peg everyday and please make sure they are names.

As the weather is turning warmer please could you apply sun cream before your child comes to nursery.

Snack Money

Just a reminder that snack money is £2 per week. You can also pay termly if you wish.  Please put the envelope in the post box on the wall in the reception area, with your child’s name clearly displayed.  This term is 11 weeks long and so would cost £22 in total. If your child attends 2 days or less, the amount would be half.

Signing in

Please remember to tick your child into nursery each day and to let us know if someone different will be collecting them.

Tooth brushing

Just a reminder that children brush their teeth in nursery everyday. This is an opt out system.

MOPS

It would be lovely to see as many mums at this as possible. Please see flyer that was sent home for information.

Junk

We always need a stock of boxes in varying sizes for the children to gluing models with.   Unfortunately we cannot accept egg boxes or toilet roll tubes.

Achievement Tree

If your child has achieved something at home then please write it down on a leaf for our Achievement Tree. It can be anything at all that you would like us to know, e.g. riding a bike, sleeping in own bed, tying a shoe lace, getting a badge or a medal from a club, etc.  We will also add achievements within Nursery.

Toys

It would be really helpful if you could please encourage your child not to bring in toys from home.

Nursery Garden

During spring/ early summer we will be planting bulbs etc so if anyone has an interest in gardening please let us know and lend us a hand.

Learning Wall

Please take time to look at our Learning Wall. When this comes down it goes into a Floor book as evidence of the children’s learning.
