King's Park Primary School

Children’s Learning

This week the children have been helping to make a second Christmas cake and are very excited to share with you all at the Christmas performance. The whole nursery had a magic stir of the cake and made a wish even Mrs Paterson who’s wish it was that the nursery would be very tidy and guess what it came true!

We have been learning about making healthy choices for our snack and using IT to pick and order our food. The children are helping to put the shopping away when it arrives and taking about the things they have chosen.

We have been spending some time with the talking tubs and had a long chat about hibernating animals. The children have also been using the floor books to record their ideas and their drawings.

Forest Schools

Although the weather has been awful this week the children have had lots of fun recording their adventures in the woods into the floor book. They brought back lots of treasures from the woods and have been learning what leaves are from what tree. Lots more investigation of the area and working together to move things and build areas.
