P3C have been celebrating our topic by having an Egyptian morning. First, we went for a parade around the classes to show off our costumes and then tasted a variety of Egyptian food. Finally, we had a chariot race. Well done for all the hard work Primary 3!
Primary 3B had a very exciting Friday morning- it was our Egyptian celebration day! First we did a parade around the classrooms to show off the fabulous Egyptian clothing we made at home, then tasted some Egyptian foods and then finished the morning off with a chariot race!

We have been learning to make Egyptian jewellery by making collars for Pharaohs with pasta, beans and glue. We have also been learning about 3D shapes and 2D shapes. We have been learning their names, making 3D models from 2D shapes and building Egyptian machines with lego!
There are 4 canopic jars. They were used to put organs in after they were taken out of someone who was being mummified. They would put in the intestines, the stomach, the liver and lungs. Today was Children in Need day at King’s Park, and Primary 3a did a great job raising money to support this charity. We were dressed very oddly for the day, and even took a photo with our oddest faces on!
P3B have been continuing to develop their skills in focus, concentration and control, and this week were challenged with the task of controlling a balloon! They had to keep control while balancing and using different parts of their bodies. Just look at those focused faces!

Primary 3B have been using their literacy skills in a variety of ways. We have been listening to each other use expression when reading, creating sentences with adjectives and interesting punctuation, and practising our spelling with plasticine!

Primary 3a have been working really hard on multiplication and division (grouping and sharing) this week. We have been using ICT to support our learning and been figuring out word problems. We all solved the mystery in different ways!
P3b have been learning all about the human body. First, we learned about our bones. We have now moved onto learning about our organs and their functions. Here we are figuring out where they all go before and after watching and discussing videos on the digestive and respiratory system!

A great effort was made by P3b to create Egyptian costumes which we showed off on an Egyptian parade around the infant building. We tried a variety of Egyptian food – off which some were appreciated more than others! We finished off with a competitive chariot race.
As part Ancient Egypt topic, Primary three have been working cooperatively together in teams to recreate the Great Pyramids of Egypt. They used a variety of different construction materials to find out which ones worked the best.
Thank you to all those who brought in their spare coins to make a class sized Pudsey. Take a look at our creations! We have been busy counting up all of the coins and we raised a whopping £685.12! We also had fun spotting the odd coin from around the World! Your Pupil Council
Our whole school learner quality focus has been on collaboration and team work. P3A really demonstrated this quality by working as a group to create a shape tower which met all the requirements asked for!
