This year in King’s Park, one of our school improvement priorities has been to improve inclusion, wellbeing and equality amongst our learners. We aim to ensure that we meet the needs of each individual within our school. One of the ways in which we are able to do this is through the introduction of Nurture Groups.
This week P2C have been enjoying Scots week! Most of us tried Haggis for lunch. We learnt about Robert Burns and listened to his songs and poems. P2b had a great session with Mrs Reid this afternoon where we focused on drama techniques and using our imagination. We also had a wee introduction to some Scottish poems and learned some new Scottish words.
P2b have been learning about renewable and non-renewable energy. We are taking care of our environment by making sure we correctly recycle our waste. We have also been learning that forces can make things move or change direction by pushing or pulling.
P2b all looked fabulous and had great fun at our Christmas Party. We played games and showed off our dances moves in the gym hall before returning to the classroom for party snacks. We even had a special visitor to read us a story!
P2C have enjoyed exploring 3D shapes at our Christmas Wrapping station! We had fun performing our Puppet shows to each other, and the other P2 classes. This week P2C have been getting festive! We enjoyed performing in our Nativity Lights, Camel, Action! We have started to decorate our class Christmas Tree! We also planned our Christmas Party for next week, and enjoyed Christmas lunch!
