P2C Outdoor Learning and Circus Designs

This week in 2c we designed clown hats and lion masks as part of our Circus topic and we reflected and discussed the variety of Outdoor Learning we do in our playground. We had many suggestions.

We have had a senses and an autumn walk and learned about nature and our environment. We play games such as Alien tig. We do drama outside and we imagined we were nocturnal animals such as owls and hedgehogs or fireworks such as rockets and Catherine wheels or golden rain and sparklers! We play in teams on the bumps or take a turn on our climbing wall. We have used balls and hoops and are enjoying keeping fit on our daily mile around our playground. We are looking forward to our school sports events in the summer term. We learned new skills and collaborated with the P6 and P7 pupils during our Playground Pals activity morning. We enjoy looking after our playground by litter picking and putting our rubbish in the bins. We enjoy doing maths and art activities such as measuring and making chalk drawings in the playground.

As part of our Circus topic we worked in teams to design clown hats from cone nets and decorated them with collage material. We made colourful and scary lion masks and look forward to using them in our circus drama next week!
